The Blida Jewish Community was a historically significant community in Blida, Algeria, with origins tracing back to the Roman era and a population that grew significantly during the 16th and 17th centuries after influxes of Spanish Jews. Though it was once a vibrant community, the community dwindled, and today the former Blida synagogue is in a critical state, used as apartments. The overall Jewish population in Algeria has been in decline since the mid-20th century.
